Massachusetts man caught by NH State Police with almost 70 grams of Fentanyl pleads guilty

CONCORD - A Massachusetts man caught by state police with 68.67 grams of Fentanyl pleaded guilty to planning to selling the deadly opioid.

Genfry Martinez, 20, of Lawrence, Mass., pleaded guilty in federal court this week to one count of possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl. He faces up to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $1 million.

“The narcotic drug Fentanyl is an incredibly dangerous substance responsible for a large number of overdose deaths in New Hampshire,” said United States Attorney Emily Gray Rice. “I will continue to prioritize the prosecution of individuals who attempt to profit from the sale of this deadly drug.”
