Massachusetts man arrested in NH after driving the wrong way on I-89

WARNER — A driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated after he drove the wrong way on Interstate 89 Friday.
N.H. State Police said at about 6:51 p.m. they received multiple reports of a black 2011 Chevrolet Silverado traveling south in the northbound lane on Interstate 89.
Police said the driver was eventually stopped while attempting to back up the Exit 5 off-ramp to Hopkinton.
Police arrested Kirk Meinheit, 60 of Lakeville, Massachusetts, and charged him with aggravated driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and transporting opened alcoholic beverages.
Meinheit was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Concord District Court on June 9, 2017, at 8:00 a.m.
