Mass. sugar daddy of NH woman can't get no satisfaction - in court

SALEM, Mass. - Jurors in Salem District Court struggled to keep a straight face before dismissing the case of a 67-year-old man who was suing a 19-year-old N.H. woman he met on Craigslist over how she spent his money, they told the The Daily News of Newbury.

Andrew Chapman Sr. claimed Genevieve Angel owed him $18,000 for not spending money he had given her as he wished. Chapman paid Angel a $1,000 a month stipend, bought her a horse and saddle as well as clothing over the course of two years. Chapman also gave her money for a 2003 Audi A6, which Angel would use to drive to his home in Marblehead. However, jurors found there was no written contract defining their relationship.

“Isn’t this really about an obsession by an older gentleman who takes up with a teenage girl?” Michael Cerulli, Angel's lawyer, asked the jury, according to the Daily News of Newburyport.
