Mass. driver hospitalized after flipping his car over a guardrail on Route 16 in Dover


DOVER - A Massachusetts driver was hospitalized early Saturday morning after flipping his car over a guardrail on Route 16.

State police say John J. Labo, 27, of Marshfield, Mass. was driving too fast heading north when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road, hitting and flipping over the guardrail.

Labo's Honda Accord ended up on its roof on the southbound side of the road just before 3 a.m. One lane was shut down for about an hour as the crash was investigated

Labo was taken to Wentworth Douglass Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police say he was charged with driving while intoxicated and transportation of a controlled drug. He is scheduled to appear on Nov. 10 in the 7th Circuit Court, District Division in Dover.
