Market Basket film to premiere at Boston film festival

The Associated Press

BOSTON (AP) — A documentary film about the family feud that embroiled the Market Basket supermarket chain is set to premiere at the Boston International Film Festival.

"Food Fight: Inside the Battle for Market Basket" will be shown during the festival on Friday and Saturday.

The documentary chronicles the power struggle between cousins Arthur T. Demoulas and Arthur S. Demoulas that came to a head when nonunion workers at the Tewksbury, Massachusetts-based chain walked off the job in 2014 because they wanted longtime President Arthur T. back at the helm.

New Hampshire-based filmmaker Jay Childs was working on the film before the walkout.

The movie also is being shown April 29-May 5 in Concord; May 12-15, in Marblehead, Mass.; May 14 in Somerville, Mass.; and May 17 in Peterborough.
