MANCHESTER - 95-year-old Arthur Kamberis said he was scared when a young man, possibly in his thirties approached him.
"He kept mumbling about money and going for my pocket. I checked to make sure he didn't have a knife on him, and then that's when I took action," Kamberis said.
Police are still looking for the suspect but people in this neighborhood don't take chances.
"I'll take my son with me and since he's the muscle he carries," Chanelle Rodes, a Manchester resident, said. "I don't have any cash on me ever, I don't even have pockets."
Kamberis said a passerby saw the interaction between himself and the suspect.
"I didn't get his name but he drove me home," Kamberis said. "I want to say thank you for that because not to many people would help out an old man like me."
