MANCHESTER - Police have identified a 25-year-old city man was shot at by an officer Monday after brandishing a weapon.
Jacob Brady, 25, no fixed address, was wanted for Sunday's armed robbery of a Queen City Avenue 7-Eleven. Armed with an arrest warrant, police checked a west side address where Brady was believed to be inside. Officers were setting up a perimeter when Brady exited the building. Police ordered him to stop, but said Brady continued walking before turning toward the officers and pointing a handgun. One of the officers fired his gun toward Brady and he dropped his gun and hit the pavement.
Brady sustained minor injuries as a result of the shooting and was taken into custody for the original robbery warrant. He was also charged with two counts of criminal threatening. He was expected to be arraigned Tuesday morning.
