Ward 9 Alderman Barbara Shaw proposed the plan to make the street a one-way headed westerly on Monday, instead of the original idea to block off the President Road neighborhood with a gate, the Union Leader reported.

Several residents spoke in opposition to this new plan, and others said that creating a gate would not solve the vehicular traffic either.
