MANCHESTER - A Goffstown woman was pulled over on Tuesday for after police said she was driving erratically on Varney Street.

Police said they got a report that a woman, later identified as Amy Lemieux, 27, appeared to be sleeping while driving. Lemieux's 4-year old daughter was in the backseat.

Lemieux seemed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, according to police, and she failed the sobriety test. Lemieux was in possession of prescription pills and was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of drugs/liquor, reckless conduct and four counts of possession of a controlled drug.

Also, her daughter was not secured in her car seat.

The little girl was transported to police headquarters by an officer. The child’s grandmother picked her up a short time later and Lemieux was released on $5,000.00 cash/surety.

She is scheduled to appear in court for a probable cause hearing on April 25.
