Manchester police search for armed robbery suspects
MANCHESTER - Police responded to three armed robberies Wednesay night. The armed robberies began at 6:10 p.m. at Crosstown Variety on Amory Street.
The victim, Pravallika Singampally, 27, of Manchester, said the unknown male walked into her store and pointed a handgun at her. The suspect allegedly threatened to "kill her" if she did not give him money from the register and cigarettes.
She felt the suspect "may have been" an African-American male. The suspect was seen wearing a black mask, black jacket and black pants. She was not sure if he fled on foot or left the scene in a vehicle.
A similarly described suspect demanded money from Union Street Market two hours later. Police said they are investigating to see if the robberies are connected.
