Manchester police respond to 3 burglaries, 3 robberies overnight
MANCHESTER - Police responded to three robberies and three burglaries over Thursday night and early Friday morning.
The first of the three burglaries was at Derryfield School, the second was at Geenie Vacuum, and the third was the Kitchen, police said.
The first armed robbery happened at A&A Convenience on Thursday. The robber pulled a knife, but the clerk chased him out of the store with a metal pipe. The suspect is described as a thinly-built Caucasian man with blonde hair and a black bandanna over his face. Police say it's possible that a second man acted as a lookout. He was described as heavyset and wearing a black football jersey with the number 99.
The second robbery happened at the Eddy Road Mobil at 11:20 on Thursday. The robber lifted his shirt to show the handle of a gun and demanded money from the register. The clerk said the suspect is between 5-foot-10 and 6-feet tall and had a shaved head. He was wearing a black ECKO sweatshirt and black shorts, police said.
The third robbery was at Cumberland Farms on Hanover Street, the second time Cumberland Farms has been robbed at knife point in four days. The suspect is a Caucasian male who with short blonde hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue sweatpants with a grey stripe at 2:55 a.m. on Friday, police said.
