Manchester police respond to 2 robberies in 1 night


MANCHESTER - Police responded to two robberies on Monday night.

One happened at Gosselins Superette on Somerville Street at 7:55 p.m., when a man in a surgical mask, gray and white sneakers, blue jeans and a hoodie pulled out a gun and demanded cash.

He was described as a light skinned, and short with a husky build. He was last seen going west on Somerville with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The Shell Gas Station on Hanover Street reported that two men entered the store, approached the counter and demanded cash and cigarettes at 10:30 p.m.

The clerk gave them the items, when one of the suspects tried to grab the cash register. No weapons were shown, and the men fled the store in an unknown direction.

The Manchester police are asking anyone with information to contact the Manchester Police Detectives Division at 668-8711.
