Manchester police officer hospitalized after 2-car crash

MANCHESTER - A Manchester police officer was injured in a crash that closed the intersection of Beech and Harvard streets during the Tuesday afternoon rush hour.

Police say the officer, Aaron Brown, was taken to Elliott Hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigation suggests a Hyundai Sonata, driven by a Steven Elliman, 35, of Manchester, collided with Brown's Ford Explorer while changing lanes. Elliman was not injured during the crash.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Manchester Police Department at 668-8711.
