Manchester Police need help with ID of armed robber

MANCHESTER - Police are looking for help identifying a man who walked into a variety store, grabbed cash from a register drawer, and threatened the cashier with a box cutter.

Police said the robbery took place at Cross Town Variety, 270 Amory St., at 3 p.m. Tuesday. The man walked toward the counter as if he was going to buy something and then started reaching for the cash register drawer. The clerk yelled at the man to stop which is when he pulled a box cutter on the clerk and threatened harm. The man made off with a small amount of cash and a handful of lottery tickets.

He's described as a white man, 6 feet tall, and weighing about 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing all black, including a T-shirt, shorts, sneakers, hat and sunglasses.
