Manchester police: Man driving drunk broke telephone pole, struck shrubs, granite bench
MANCHESTER – Police arrested Matthew Foley, 26, Manchester, for operating under the influence liquor after responding to a crash on River Road at about 1:40 a.m. Saturday.
According to authorities, Foley’s Mazda 3 struck a telephone pole, shrubs, a granite bench and a stone wall after he lost control of his vehicle.
Police reported seeing Foley – whose face was bloody from the accident – and calling out to him. Foley allegedly fled, but was located shortly thereafter.
The police did not have a value amount of the damage caused by the crash available as of 11 a.m. Monday.
