Manchester police make heroin arrest on West side

MANCHESTER - A local man is under arrest after a police detective says he witnessed a possible drug transaction near the 7-Eleven at South Main and Clinton streets.

Zack Rebholz, 21, was charged with resisting arrest and possession of a controlled drug on Wednesday.

Police say Detective Mark Harrington of the Special Enforcement Division saw a possible drug transaction involving a man with bleach blond hair, later identified as Rebholz, on Wednesday around 8:40 p.m. and told two patrol officers.

They tried to stop Rebholz as he walked along Dover Street and police say he refused to stop and later tried to pull away from one of the officers who was searching him for possible weapons.

Police say they found several hypodermic needles and 5.9 grams of heroin, with a street value of about $200. Rebholz was arraigned in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on Thursday morning.
