Manchester police investigating report of shots fired


MANCHESTER - Police are investigating a report of shots fired in the city over the weekend.

Lt. Brian O'Keefe said detectives were called to the area of Lincoln and Amherst streets Sunday around 10:40 p.m.

Witnesses told police a man may have fired a handgun at a vehicle as it drove off, and at least two other rounds were fired before police arrived.

The 100 block of Amherst Street was closed for a period of time while police were investigating.
