Manchester police investigating home break-in, attempted kidnapping

MANCHESTER - Police are investigating a home break in where a suspect ran off with a child.

A man told police three people forced their way into his apartment at 255 Douglas St. around 4:30 p.m.

He told police that someone held a knife to his neck while the other two suspects "ransacked" the apartment.

The victim told police that, as they were leaving, one of the suspects grabbed his 2-year-old child.

The victim chased the suspects and was able to pull the child away as they were getting into a vehicle, police said.
