Manchester Police crack down on panhandling on busy roads

MANCHESTER- Manchester Police are cracking down on panhandling in busy shopping areas.

In the past week, police have issued multiple citations to people panhandling on South Willow Street near the Mall of New Hampshire and other shopping plazas.

While panhandling is not illegal, the disruptions to traffic violate city ordinances and can become a safety issue.

Police urge motorists to make donations to charitable organizations in the city.
