MANCHESTER - Police have arrested more than 20 people in a drug investigation that lasted several months. Police seized a variety of drugs including pot, heroin, and crack cocaine in a two-part bust that started Tuesday.
Police first arrested Carlos Cruz on Tuesday at his Corning Road home during the early morning hours.
Detectives from the Special Enforcement Division's Street Crime and Special Investigative Division, along with SWAT team members executed two search warrants simultaneously - one at the Corning Road home and another at a Concord Street address.
An undercover detective had been investigating Cruz for several months.
Police said that detective identified Cruz as a major supplier of heroin and cocaine in Manchester and that he used the two addresses for sales.
During the Tuesday search, detectives seized $2,968, 13.8 grams of cocaine with a street value of $1,400, 11.5 grams of marijuana, and one single Alprazolam tablet.
Cruz is charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled drug, a felony; possession of a controlled drug, a felony; falsifying physical evidence, a felony; possession of a controlled drug, a misdemeanor. Cruz is being held on a 72 hour probation/parole violation so bail has not been set.
The second part of the round-up began Wednesday morning. Police said they identified 44 people engaged in illicit drug sales in the past six to 12 months.
Twelve teams arrested of 24 people during this time, police said.
Arrests and charges include:
Wascar Melo, 23 of Dorchester, Mass. Melo was arrested at Castillo's Belmont Market, 422 Belmont St. He had two arrest warrants for Sale of a Controlled Drug. During his arrest, police said they found almost $15,000, 50 grams of heroin, and 17.5 grams of cocaine in his possession. As a result, he also was charged with possession with intent to distribute.
Kenny Errico, 25, of Manchester: three counts of sale of a controlled drug - heroin and cocaine.
Gregory Lajoie, 37, Raymond: two counts sale of a controlled drug - heroin.
Willie Player, 30, Manchester: two counts sale of a controlled drug- crack cocaine.
Keith Haskell, 34, Goffstown: sale of a controlled drug -cocaine.
Daniel Brignoni, 33, Manchester: two counts sale of a contolled drug - cocaine.
Shanti Jehlicka (Santiago-Martinez), 21, Manchester: two counts sale of a controlled drug - heroin.
Brittany Hunt, 25, Bedford: three counts sale of a controlled drug - heroin.
Jason Johnson, 23, Allenstown: sale of a controlled drug -heroin.
Brystal Razo, 25, Derry: sale of a controlled drug - heroin.
Edward Gallien, 34, Manchester: four counts sale of a controlled drug - heroin.
Timothy Hickman, 40, Manchester: three counts sale of a controlled drug - heroin.
Krystal Gallien, 37, Manchester: sale of a controlled drug -heroin.
Ashlie Groulx, 26, Manchester: four counts sale of a controlled drug - cocaine and Oxycontin.
Juan Molina, 25, Manchester: two counts sale of a controlled drug - Oxycontin.
Daniel Lalanne, 43, Manchester: sale of a controlled drug - heroin.
James Hall, 51, Manchester: two counts sale of a controlled drug - cocaine.
Ronald Mariano, 48, Manchester: sale of a controlled drug - crack cocaine.
Katherine Plumpton, 31, Manchester: sale of a controlled drug - Oxycontin.
Christopher Turgeon, 30, Manchester: capias one count possession of Oxycontin.
