Manchester plow trapped in sink hole

MANCHESTER - Manchester Water Works responded to a call at 4AM when a water main brake was reported on Kennard Road early Saturday morning.

Shortly after, a city plow truck fell into a sink hole. The road has since been closed for several hours, as crews work to patch the road and remove the plow truck.

Rich St. James, Foreman Manchester Water Works, said a big safety concern is getting the plow truck out of the hole and avoiding a gas pipe that is under the street. About a dozen homes are without water and have not been evacuated.

The road is expected to be closed until late in the day Sunday.
