Manchester officer hit by car, pushed into second car; he and 2 others sent to hospital

MANCHESTER - A police officer stopped at a red light was hit from behind and pushed into the vehicle in front of him, sending the officer and two other drivers to the hospital.

Police say Manchester Officer Mark Aquino was stopped near South Willow Street and Goffs Falls Road when he was rear ended by Rene Paris, 57, of Manchester, who was driving a 2001 Mercury Villager. The blow drove Aquino into the car in front of him, a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Pranesh Basnet, 23, of Manchester.

Paris was found at fault, and all three operators were taken to Elliot Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
