Manchester, NH, man arrested after police chase

MANCHESTER - A Manchester man is facing several charges after leading police on a car and foot chase early Friday morning

Dale Calawa, 51, was arrested on charges of possessing crack-cocaine, resisting arrest, disobeying a police officer and reckless operation.

Shortly after midnight, police say they observed Calawa run a stop sign at a high rate of speed. When he failed to stop for the cruiser with lights flashing, a brief pursuit ended at Maple Street and Londonderry Lane, when he allegedly fled on foot.

He was later seen as a passenger in another vehicle and taken into custody without incident, according to police.
