Manchester, NH, man accused of holding family at gunpoint

MANCHESTER - A man is facing charges after allegedly holding a family at gunpoint, police said.

Police responded to 58 Blucher St. shortly after 12:40 a.m. Wednesday after two men entered a home and threatened a man and his family, police said.

Upon arrival, police found Gabriel Tirido, 31, of Manchester, the victim and several witnesses.

Tirido was identified as the suspect, police said.

The victim wrestled the gun away from Tirado, police said. During that time Tirado suffered injuries, police said.

He was arrested and taken to Catholic Medical Center to be treated for the injuries, police said.

Tirado is charged with burglary, reckless conduct and criminal threatening. Detectives are investigating the case to identify the second suspect.

Tirado is scheduled to appear in Manchester district court this morning.
