Manchester mother charged with 2nd-degree murder in death of toddler Sadie
MANCHESTER - Police have arrested the mother of the 21-month-old girl "Sadie" who died earlier this month of blunt impact head injuries.
Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, and Manchester Police Chief Nick Willard announced this afternoon that Katlin Paquette, 22, of 437 Belmont St. has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Sadence "Sadie" Willott.
Paquette is accused of recklessly causing the death of the toddler "through an application of physical force causing Sadence to suffer a fatal brain injury."
Emergency responders had gone to the home on Sept. 5 for the report of an unresponsive child. Sadence was treated at Elliott Hospital and then flown to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center where she died the following day. An autopsy was conducted on Sept. 8 by Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Jennie V. Duval. Dr. Duval ruled Sadie’s manner of death as a homicide, with the cause of death as blunt impact head injuries.
Paquette’s arraignment is expected to take place on Monday morning at the 9th Circuit Court – District Division in Manchester, New Hampshire.
