Manchester mother arrested in daughter's death

MANCHESTER- A mother arrested three weeks after her daughter died of a brain injury, waived her right to appear during her arraignment Monday.

The Attorney General's office announced the arrest of 22-year-old Katlin Paquette Saturday. Investigators say after conducting interviews with neighbors and family members, they had enough evidence to arrest Paquette in connection with the death of her 21 month old daughter Sadie.

A 911 call came from within the Belmont Street apartment, investigators said, but they aren't saying who placed the call.

The girl had head trauma from 'a fatal amount of force,' said Senior Assistant Attorney General Ben Agati. The girl was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock on a medical flight, but died of her injuries.

There were 'multiple injuries on Sadie's head that led to her death,' Agati said.

Paquette is being held without bail and is charged with second-degree murder. She is due back in court on October 13th.
