MANCHESTER - Crews at the Verizon Wireless Arena were busy Tuesday painting the ice pink in preparation for the Monarch's game on Saturday.
The 6th Annual "Pink the Rink" event will raise money and awareness for breast cancer research at the Norris Cotton Center at Catholic Medical Center.
The players will wear pink jerseys that will be available for auction. There will be a number of pre-game activities, including a tribute to breast cancer survivors on the ice, and a puck drop from CMC CEO Dr. Joseph Pepe.
Pink packs are available for purchase which include a ticket to Pink in the Rink, a T-shirt, a flex voucher to a future game and a donation to the Breast Care Center.
