Manchester Memorial High FIRST Robotics team brings home a title

MANCHESTER - Memorial High School's robotics team took the title at a regional competition in North Carolina on March 19-20.

The school's FIRST Robotics team, which goes by the name, Cruisin' Crusaders, were feted at the school on Wednesday morning as they brought home the school's first-ever championship banner for robotics.

To win, the team had to build a robot that could compete in a challenge that involved weakening, attacking and capturing another team's tower. At the competition held at the University of North Carolina-Asheville, they went up against 23 other teams from North Carolina and Virginia, and had to advance through quarter and semi-final rounds before winning the competition.
