Manchester man pleads guilty to TD Bank robbery

MANCHESTER - Matthew Ireland, 36, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to robbing the Manchester TD Bank in January.

Ireland, wearing a ski mask and sunglasses, demanded money from tellers before fleeing and leading police on a brief car chase.

Ireland crashed his car and began to run before throwing a large amount of cash from his pockets and surrendering to police.

Manchester police recovered the rest of the stolen money from his vehicle.

He faces up to 20 years in prison and fines up to $250,000.
