Manchester man pleads guilty to robbing bank

CONCORD - A Manchester man pleaded guilty in federal court to charges he robbed the People's United Bank on Elm Street April 9.

Andrew Dufresne, 44, of Manchester, walked into the bank at 1750 Elm St., and handed the teller a note demanding money. He then went behind the teller's desk and reached into the teller's drawer, taking bundles of bills in various denominations. He was arrested two days later in Methuen, Mass. after crashing a car in that city.

Dufresne will be sentenced Oct. 11.
