Manchester man overdoses on raft while fishing in Merrimack River

MANCHESTER – A 31-year-old Manchester man was found unresponsive on a raft in the Merrimack River Sunday night after police say he overdosed.

According to police, Conor Begley, of Manchester, was fishing with a friend when he went unconscious.

Police were called and responded to find Begley unresponsive on the raft underneath the Amoskeag Bridge.

Emergency personnel administered Narcan which restored Begley’s breathing.

He was transported to a local hospital.
