MANCHESTER - Matthew Dion, the Manchester man accused of killing his parents then setting the house on fire, was indicted on murder charges Monday.
A Hillsborough County Superior Court grand jury issued the indictment against Dion, who was captured in Florida in June after more than a year on the U.S. Marshals Service’s “15 Most Wanted” list.
Dion is charged with eight counts, including two counts of first-degree murder, arson charges and three counts of possession child pornography.
Matthew Dion is accused of strangling his adoptive father, Robert, 71, and mother, Constance, 67 with a wire in 2014.
Officials believe Dion, 40, returned to the home on Moorseville Road days later and started a fire.
When police searched the extended-stay motel where Dion was staying in Orange Park, Fla., they found pornographic stills and DVDs.
He is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 13 at 10:30 a.m.
