Manchester man indicted on charges of abusing nursing home patient in Goffstown

MANCHESTER - A grand jury has indicted a former nursing assistant on charges of simple assault and abusing a nursing home patient who has dementia.

Timothy Morrissey, of Manchester, was working as an licensed nursing assistant at the Bel-Air Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Goffstown when he allegedly mistreated the 79-year-old woman. Morrissey was terminated and subsequently lost his license at a recent hearing before the Board of Nursing where it was alleged he'd been seen with his mouth on the woman's breast on Oct. 31.

According to the N.H. Attorney General's office, Morrissey is scheduled to be arraigned on Dec. 18 in Hillsborough Superior Court in Manchester.
