MANCHESTER - A Manchester man faces several charges in a vicious case of domestic assault, police said.
Eric Potvin, 30, was arrested Monday on charges of criminal threatening, first-degree assault, five counts of second-degree assault, and simple assault.
Police were called to a home on Schiller Street at approximately 9 p.m. for a report of a domestic assault involving a knife. The victim told police she and Potvin fought when she found him using drugs inside her home and she threatened to leave with their child.
Potvin allegedly threatened her with a knife, cut her arm, threw her on the ground and began choking her. The victim told police Potvin also burned her several times with a lit cigarette, punched and kicked her repeatedly, while threatening to harm himself.
Potvin was later located by Bedford Police and had a knife at the time of his arrest. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
