Manchester man arrested for buying gift cards with stolen credit cards in Nashua

NASHUA — Police arrested Brian Hayward, 30, of Manchester for receiving stolen property, two counts of fraudulent use of a credit card and attempting to commit credit card fraud.

Officers responded to the CVS on Main Street after receiving a report of a man attempting to purchase multiple gift cards with someone else's credit card.

Officers learned that after the suspect was at CVS, he walked to the Alltown Gas Station where he also purchased a gift card with the same credit card he tried to use at CVS.

After some investigating, officers learned that Hayward had stolen credit and debit cards.

A criminal records check revealed that Hayward had been convicted previously of two counts of theft by unauthorized taking.

This is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment. Hayward is scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
