Manchester man arrested after threatening girlfriend with a knife

MANCHESTER - A 27-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for threatening his girlfriend with a knife, police said.

The victim told police she and Michael Curran, 27, of Manchester got into a verbal argument after he arrived home late. She said Curran allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife, threatened to kill her and chased her into a bedroom. Curran allegedly attempted to stab her, but a friend intervened and removed him from the residence.

Curran was later located in Goffstown. He was charged with criminal threatening and felon in possession of a deadly weapon.
