Manchester man arrested after exiting bathroom with loaded syringe

MANCHESTER - A local man was arrested Wednesday after he walked out of the bathroom at the Bird Bath Laundromat on Lake Avenue with what police say was a loaded syringe with heroin sticking out of his front pocket.

Nicholai Dandurant, 26, was charged with possession of controlled drugs, including heroin in the syringe and an oxycodone pill that police say Dandurant was carrying.

Police say they were called to the laundromat at 5:20 p.m. after someone reported that a man had entered the bathroom and remained inside, raising concerns.

When police knocked on the door, Dandurant allegedly exited with the drugs in his possession.

Dandurant wass scheduled to be arraigned in the 9th Circuit Court of Manchester on Thursday.
