Manchester library closed after burst pipe floods bottom floor


MANCHESTER - A burst pipe flooded the bottom floor of the city library's West Branch on Tuesday night, causing extensive damage and forcing it to close.

The library is evaluating the damage, which included books, furnishings and equipment.

People who have borrowed items are being asked to return them to the Main Library at 405 Pine St. Holds also can be picked up at that location.

The library is working on rescheduling events that would have been held at the location.
