Manchester inmate goes missing from Calumet Transitional Housing Unit


MANCHESTER - An inmate has gone missing from a Manchester transitional housing unit.

The N.H. Department of Corrections said Monday that minimum security inmate Spencer Ernest Elliot never returned to the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester after he went to work.

He was placed on walkway after officials said he left the Lowell Street facility at 6:35 a.m., went to work, but was reported missing by his employer at about noon.

By 2:45 p.m. he was placed on walkaway status.

Elliot is a white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 190 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

He is serving 1 and a half to 4 years for theft by unauthorized taking.

He was eligible for parole on Sept. 29.

The N.H. State Police and the N.H. Department of Corrections Investigations Bureau are investigating.
