Manchester fugitive wanted on 4 counts of 2nd-degree assault arrested thanks to tip
MANCHESTER - An anonymous tip led to the arrest of a fugitive wanted on four counts of second-degree assault.
Officers responded to the parking lot of an apartment complex off of West River Road where Eric Savage was wanted on an outstanding Hillsborough County arrest warrant for failure to appear on four counts of second-degree assault.
At the time of arrest on the outstanding warrant, Savage was in possession of a knife and based on his criminal history, the police department charged him with being a felon in possession of a weapon.
Savage was arrested by the Manchester Police Department and will be held at the Hillsborough County Jail until his initial court appearance.
U.S. Marshal, David Cargill said, "We are fortunate to have members of the public who are willing to make a call to the police to help make their communities safer for everyone." Cargill continued, "Thank you to the anonymous tipster, and to the officers from the Manchester Police Department who quickly acted on this tip and arrested Savage.”"
