Manchester fire victims remembered at memorial services

MANCHESTER - Friends and family gathered Saturday night for a celebration of life for the victims of the Wilson Street fire last Monday.

Phaneuf Funeral Home on Hanover Street hosted the memorial service for Ailene Moody, 39, her sons Joshua Harrison, 10, and Jay Michael Garon, 8, and her boyfriend Joshua Harrison, 33.

Family members are grieving, especially sister Amy Moody. Her future-mother-in-law spoke to NH1 before the service began and said this past week has been very difficult on everyone connected to the family.

“Amy was really close with them,” Perez said, trying to stay composed. “She raised them almost like she was they were her own when she was a teenager, so she’s very, very close to them. It’s pretty heartbreaking.”

All four victims were honored at Saturday’s service. The investigation into the fire is ongoing. A caused has not yet been determined.
