Manchester fire that displaced 50 people ruled accidental
MANCHESTER - A fire that displaced more than 50 people a few days before Christmas has been ruled accidental.
A three-alarm fire tore through a Log Street condominium complex early Sunday morning.
Fire officials said the three-story building suffered about $750,000 damage. Nobody who lived at the complex was injured, but at least one pet perished in the fire.
Crews arrived on scene around 3:30 a.m. and quickly tried to knock down flames, while other firefighters searched the building for people still inside. Three people were helped get to safety through a window.
Two firefighters suffered minor injuries.
The building is owned by Evergreen Property Management.
