Manchester bar operator busted in NH drug sting with 7 kilograms of meth
CONCORD – A Manchester sports bar operator is facing charges that he was distributing methamphetamine.
Rigoberto Ramirez Aldava, 40 of Manchester, is a resident of Mexico and is the operator of El Patron Sports Bar and Grill in Manchester.
After an investigation was launched following a tip, officials said Ramirez Aldava sold 34 grams of meth to an undercover DEA agent on June 21. He allegedly sold 372 more grams to the same agent on June 29.
Ramirez Aldava was arrested on Monday after he agreed to sell the officer another 10 pounds of meth, according to officials. 5.15 kilograms of meth was recovered from his car during the sting.
Another 2.03 kilograms of meth were found during a search of El Patron. 1 gram of meth typically sells for $150-$200 in the area, according to the DEA.
The DEA said it was a record amount of meth recovered in the state, and that it was part of the agency's committment to "disrupt and dismantle Mexican drug trafficking organizations."
Ramirez Aldava is being held pending a trial.
