Man who robbed 3 Manchester banks sentenced to 5 years, 3 months in prison


CONCORD - A former Exeter man who robbed three Manchester banks has been sentenced to 63 months in federal prison.

Eric D'Aoust, 30, formerly of 16B Carroll St., pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to robbing three banks last year -- Granite State Credit Union on Nov. 9; TD Bank on Franklin Street on Nov. 12, and TD Bank, at 1255 S. Willow St. on Nov. 13.

He told investigators he commit the crimes "for the rush" and enjoyed walking away as multiple cruisers passed him on the way to the crime scenes, according to the Union Leader.

According to court documents, D'Aoust has a history of drug abuse. The three robberies netted him $2,500, of which $830 was recovered.

D'Aoust has a lengthy criminal record dating back to when he was 16, according to court records.
