Man wanted in Goffstown arrested after foot chase in Manchester

MANCHESTER - A foot chase in Manchester ended in an arrest Monday evening.

Police say an officer saw 18-year-old Isaiah Williams walk into a pizza shop on Lowell Street around 9 p.m. Aware there was an oustanding warrant for his arrest in Goffstown on assault charges, the officer approached Williams, but he ran off. Williams was later found behind a building on East High Street.

Police say he continued to be combative with officers as he was taken into custody, with one suffering a minor injury.

In addition to the charges he faces related to the incident in Goffstown, Williams is now facing charges of Simple Assault (on a Police Officer) and Resisting Arrest/Detention. He was scheduled to appear in court on those charges Tuesday morning.
