Man wanted for armed robberies in NH and VT turns himself in to police

WEATHERSFIELD, Vt. - A man wanted in connection with armed robberies in both New Hampshire and Vermont has turned himself in to police.

Vermont State Police say Matthew Thomas Martin, 31, surrendered early Sunday morning without incident.

He was wanted on multiple warrants in both states for armed robbery and allegedly continued to rob banks as a fugitive. Martin had been listed as a "fugitive of the week" by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Forces in New Hampshire and Vermont earlier this week, leading to widespread publicity about his status as a wanted man.
