Man uses crowbar to steal 2 cash boxes from NH 99 Restaurant during business hours

SALEM — A man pried open the office door to a 99 Restaurant and stole two cash boxes from the open safe, police said.

Police are currently investigating a burglary that occurred at the 99 Restaurant on Sunday at about 5:37 p.m.

A white male suspect entered the restaurant during business hours when he broke into their office using a crowbar and stole two cash boxes, police said.

The man fled across the street towards MaryAnn's Restaurant, got into a vehicle that was waiting for him and appeared to flee northbound on South Broadway, according to police.

The amount of cash that the suspect took is unknown at this time.
