Man surrenders in Mother's Day stand-off in Manchester

MANCHESTER - One man is in custody following a Mother's Day standoff with police that ended peacefully on South Mammoth Road Sunday night.

The Union-Leader reported Manchester police responded to a home at 620 South Mammoth Road near Glen Forest Drive around 7 p.m. to investigate a report of a man barricaded inside. A heavy police presence responded to the scene, including a police department negotiator, members of the city SWAT team and an armored BearCat vehicle.

Police were able to talk the man out of the home. The individual was taken into custody, and the scene was reported clear just before 8 p.m.
The identity of the man was not immediately known.
