Man stabbed, robbed in Laconia's Sanborn Park


LACONIA - A 32-year-old man was stabbed in the abdomen and robbed in Sanborn Park early Tuesday.

The victim called police from a residence on Mechanic Street just before midnight. He told police that a white male with short blond hair demanded money from him and then stabbed him. The knife-wielding man was described as wearing a red shirt, jean shorts and a baseball hat.

Police said the victim was taken to Lakes Region General Hospital and said his injuries don't appear to be life-threatening.
