Man seriously injured in Belmont crash after fight with his wife

BELMONT - A man fighting with his wife left in his car and drove off erratically into a grove of trees across from the apartment building where he lived, police said.

The crash happened across from 128 Concord St. Police received a call from the wife about her husband leaving the area distraught. Officers found the car across the street.

The man was seriously injured and bleeding heavily. Belmont Fire/Rescue and had to extricate him from the car using the Jaws of Life. He was taken to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center to be treated for multiple broken bones.
